Finnish PEN has published The Hate Speech Toolkit, which was presented at the meeting of the peace committees in Bled. The publication is meant for those who get targeted by hate speech. In addition, it includes information for communities engaged with the topic, and overviews of hate speech in different parts of the world.
The Hate Speech Toolkit was produced by an expert group, consisting of the following:
Johanna Vehkoo, Severi Hämäri, Joy Hyvärinen, Auli Leskinen, Shashank Mane, Reeta Pöyhtäri and Pirita Näkkäläjärvi.
The publication is part of the work of PEN International’s peace committee and has been published in Finnish, Swedish, Northern Sami, English and French. The international collaboration based on the publication is continuing.
The Hate Speech Toolkit is available in printed form and can be downloaded as pdf on Finnish PEN’s website.
